Myth 1: Pushing straight to production with DevOps + CI/CD
First and foremost, security and audit professionals frequently have inaccurate information when it comes to achieving SoD requirements in DevOps. Furthermore, in this contemporary, cloud-based, occasionally serverless world, humans cannot attain the velocity required to stay up with the pace of business.
Myth 3: DevOps and SoD Cannot Coexist

Do we have two competing initiatives—DevOps versus Segregation of Duties, the push for agility versus putting in place stricter access controls? This will vary depending on how far an organization has progressed with automating deliveries and releasing changes into production.
Imagine you push a critical hotfix into the shared source repository ten minutes after customer support reports a critical bug. Imagine that you can modify the rate at which your modification is released based on how quickly this hotfix needs to be distributed, possibly omitting some non-functional tests. After five minutes, your hotfix is prepared for release. IT Business locates your change by opening the Production Release Dashboard for the organization. And going forward, all they need to do is press a large green button on the screen. After two minutes, the automated rollback procedure will begin, or your emergency hotfix will remain in production based on the final testing results.

After more than two hours, we were able to provide our clients who had been complaining about poor customer service with the hotfix.
